Okay. I've had my 98 Breeze about a month.

The car makes that gurgling noise that was referred to in another thread, it does the RPM jump when breaking (generally when I try to park in mall style parking lots), the speedometer jumps from 0-50, 0-40, 0-10, etc. when I am in park.

Does anybody have any ideas what's going on? Is it multiple things or just one thing that needs fixing. I got it from a mechanic who can work on it, but he's "old school" (before cars were electic based) and the only thing he says it may need is a speed sensor if the speedometer keeps acting up.

It's a 98 so the gasket should be fine right?

Also my drive is always the same. Same roads & all. Same general driving conditions.. NO AC use.. and my MPG flexes between 20-28MPG for some reason. I fuel up at the same station, etc.
