sho 3.0 swap into 94 3.0 ranger...

I did a search and didn't find much info in on this topic..

I have a 94 xlt 3.0 5 speed. Its got 173k miles so I don;t know how much life is left in the motor. The body and interior is in good shape and I paid practically nothing for it so its worth it to me to put another motor in it.

I want to put the 3.0 taurus sho v6 in it. I found one thread with a guy who listed it as a swap but offered no details. In a web search I found a thread claiming the motor would bolt directly to my current 3.0 rwd tranny because although the engine is different the back of the blocks are the same.

So with that info in my head I'm thinking it might be a possible swap and with that motor pushing 225 hp Im likeing the idea of it.

What i am wondering is will that motor really bolt to my tranny? What would I have to do as far as motor mounts, exhaust, fuel delivery, computer, ect?

With the lack of info I managed to find I'm guessing this might be a long shot but if anyone has anything to offer id appriciate it. Thanks.

Im not certain on this but I heard that the 2 wheel drive 5 speed mazda trannys are only rated for about 200 hp. Might want to double check because im not totally sure.
