mounting tires

I saw on the tirerack site where they would align the high point of your tire with the low point of your rim if you buy them both from tirerack. Is this important for track days? If so, what if I already have the rims? Who would do this locally? I am definitely not going to Firestone... Do I look up a local tuner for this type of attention? NewB, so please enlighten me. I plan on getting a S2000 very soon. thanks.

Re: mounting tires

this is for balancing, the best place that would do this locally is a good tire shop, look for one that sells a lot of custom rims. Tuner shops tend not to do their own tire mounting since they don't do enough of it to warrant buying the equipment.

I found a little shop close to where I work that does this kind of work - or anything I would possibly need to prep my car for the track. thanks.
