Question 91 JETTA gl 1.8 SHUTSOFF AND WON'T START UNTIL 10 MINUTES OR MORE LATER

s

I Just Purchased This Car 3 Days Ago. It Sat For About 6 Months. Just 10 Minutes After Driving Off From Buying It, The Car Shutoff. Lucky For Me I Was In Front Of A Gas Station And Was Able To Push It And Look For The Problem That I Could Find. Since Then The Car Has Shutoff Twice And Didn't Start Up Right Away, And It Shutoff 2 Other Times. I Am Planning To Change The Fuel Filter And The Dirty Air Filter. Has Anyone Out There Had This Experience? If So How Did You Fix It?

Thanks In Advance

i had a similar problem-doe the car restart after cooling off
if so it could be the igniton coil or crank sensor
make sure its a current electric problem and not a fuel to engine problem-a mechanic can at least tell u that much without even charging you
