Two things....Fuel related

Well, at least one is.

Get this shit....weather calls for a chance of snow tonight. Fuck.

On to the important part.
I am running aftermarket fuel parts at the intake. Fuel rails and injectors.
Cheap diagrams....but you should get the idea....The white lines represent fuel lines into the rails. I am not the greatest with this fuel fitting stuff.

This first one is what I have the fittings to pull off. Thing is, I don't want to allow any injectors to get lower pressure than the others.

This is how I want to do it. Using a T adaptor. Problem is, I need to order a couple more fittings. Obviously the T, but do I need adaptors into the braided line to connect to the T?

This is the order these parts come off the rails....
Rail....3/8NPT to -8AN fitting.....-8AN 90 Degree autofit.....fuel line

Now, I am thinking I just need to get an -8AN T, and a couple -8AN easyfits. Does that sound right to install the T?

Well it seems to me that using or not using the T you'd get the same thing in the end anyway, ofcourse to make sure you get what you want to make sure, you'll get the T but im sure that the regular line will be fine and just the same, really.

Re: Two things....Fuel related

I have heard horror stories about the last couple injectors leaning out #6 and #8. I want to have them evenly flowed in, instead of having fuel pushed through one rail and then into the next.

Well ofcourse but it may not be true, so like I said, if you want to be really sure you get an even flow go with the T, but im sure the single will be fine.

The T sounds like a good way to go to me. Even if the horror stories of #6&8 cylinders getting lean aren't true, I'd rather be safe than sorry and end up slapping myself later on. Besides the whole T idea has more ingenuity in it. People will be like "Why didn't I think of that?"

Being an LS engine it is sequential injection, meaning that the 8 injectors are fired one at a time, so no single injector should be getting less pressure than any other.
I see that you are using a 3/8" fitting from the rail and going into a #8 line. 3/8" is a #6 line, having it fed by a #8 (1/2") line won't do anything for you, except make it more expensive (#8 line costs quite a bit more than #6) If you already have #8 line in the car to go to the fuel rails, I'd get 2 fittings to go from the rails 2 pieces of #6 line with fittings for both ends, a T fitting with a #8 on the end and #6's on either end of the "T". And for extra insurance...run the line from one rail to the other like in your first pic. This way you know you are getting fuel to both rails. But do you need one end of a rail to go to return?

I think you are going to have to t both ends, you do need a return line as well. Look at the stock setup if you still have it, if not I might be able to get a picture of one, or someone here should have one, see where the return line starts at and how its plumbed into the system. Running without a fuel return line could have kinda expensive results, my brother incinerated his camaro messing around with the fuel system (and yes, i really mean incinerated, the top of the transmission melted).

Re: Two things....Fuel related

The fuel line I have is -8AN. The rails are threaded for 3/8". Why?? I don't know. This is what came with the install kit.
I am not great with the fuel lines. I don't believe I need a return line. If I do, I can use the front of the rail for that.
I will call someone and ask right now.

Re: Two things....Fuel related

The '99-and-later LS1 engines used a returnless fuel delivery system. They have the pressure regulator in the tank and only the high pressure line going into the fuel rail.
