Bracing cab mount on Blazer with spare tire carrier

After I installed a spare tire carrier I noticed that the bottom corner flexxed about a 1/4" when I opened it up.

While mounting a new trailer hitch on my Blazer yesterday I discovered that the bumper mounts have holes lined up going all the way through from the frame.

So today I bought 1' of 3/8" redi rod, and 4 nuts + 4 flat washers and 2 lock washers.. Spending less than $5.00

I drilled a hole through the cab corner, Slipped the redi-rod through the bumper mounts. Then I placed the required nuts and washers located between the body and the bumper mount on before I slipped it through the new hole.
I then put a washer and nut holding it secure in the body there (I got someone with small hands to do this part) and I tightened the cab corner side right up.
Finally I threaded on the last nut on the frame side of things and used these last 2 bolts to hold the cab corner where I want it.

I hope that these photo's explain it better than I do

The corner is now solid, and my glass and door open much better
