Oil Pressure psi
ever since i poored seafoam in my crank case i have been having problems with my oil pressure.i replaced the sending unit but no luck im still getting to high of oil pressure which leads me to believe my oil pump is screwing up or i have sludge somewhere blocking something.
anyway what is the normal oil pressure psi on a 1995 5.2? when i turn it on it idles anywhere between 60 and 70 psi and sometimes drops below 60 after driving a while

oil pressure spec for the 5.2L is minimum of 6 psi at idle and 30 to 80 psi at 3000 rpm. Sounds like all is normal but for your own piece of mind you might want to do a pressure check with a mechanical gauge.
