I have a 98 Durango w/111k miles. The check engine light came on the other day, and so I had the system scanned. I'm getting two error codes. P-034 and P-545. The weird thing is, the vehicle runs fine, but will not start backup if turned off. When starting the engine it immediately shuts off.
You have to wait till the engine cools off for about an hour to restart. Also, I was unable to find out what code # P-0545 is. Any clues as to the problem? Thanks, SGlenn |

Autotap has all the codes on their web site:
http://www.autotap.com/codes.asp Be sure to convert the hex code from the OBD-II scanner to decimal (which it looks like you did). P0545 is Exhaust gas temperature sensor circuit low, bank 1, sensor 1. P0034 is Turbo charger bypass valve control circuit low. |
