escort not holding water

when i put water into mr radiator,the water just pours through and leaks under the gearbox,can anyone tell me what the problem maybe

side tanks are cracked or seal is broken.or lower hose is bad.

Depending on what year the Escort is, the '94 has just a gasket covering up the water jackets by the intake on the cylinder head. Then Ford got smart and changed the cylinder head design, so it's all internal in the head. It could be leaking there. However, the most common place they leak is the plastic tanks on the aluminum radiator.
