Thumbs up The Modelling Forum is ROCKING at the moment

Well its so good to see so many new faces in here.

This place has really taken off in the last six months or so.

It seems everytime i log on to have a read, there are at least 4-6 and even more at times in here reading and posting.

Plus there are always new faces each day showing up.

I dont think there has even been ONE flame war here were people have had a go at each other about something.

I remember talking with Jay/Guiddy/Ales (if i forgot anyone else i'm sorry) about starting a modelling forum here at AF to see what it would be like.....i never thought it would get to be this big.
Well done to Jay for getting it kicked off with Igor

When ever i do a search on GOOGLE for a model, you can expect a link to here nearly all the time.

Give ya selfs all a pat on the back for a job well done.

Yes, it's nice and really impressive.

BUT to prevent all the same questions from popping up all the time, PLEASE, PRETTY PLEASE WITH SUGAR ON TOP, dear new people, read the FAQ. Jay has gone an outstanding job compiling it (maybe someone helped him, so props to them too) so don't let it go to waste

Ive noticed this too, there seems to have been a large influx of people just in the last 2 months or so.

I would like to think that i have helped in increasing the number of members recently by posting links to topics in this forum into replys to threads on other forums i go to. Then again it may just be coincidence!!!

I was bored one night and tried searching around for new model sites and found this one. I couldn't believe that I had no clue a place like this existed. Great job, guys. Keep it up.

before I came trottle-ling in here thru a search engine, I thought my orange peeled, undercoat cracked, unpainted interior were good stuff.:o

this is definitely a great resource for modelers young or old, new or experienced!

The reason why I came here on this forum was just to read a story, with The Move featured in it (if someone has the link to that thread, feel free to edit and paste it in here ) After I read the painting thread featuring the Subaru. At that moment I knew that my bankaccount would drop... in one month i bought 3 models, none done yet. Also bought some paint, so they wouldn't be all red :P. Yesterday I bought some sanding paper grade 1000 (in holland.) only i don't know if it is in square cm's or square inches. also bought a can of transparent primer. (both from halfords )
Just have to put some parts back in my S2000 and the first pics will be taken from my first completed model.
1 Question again: Why do you guys are always right..?? first time rubbing the car you will go through the paint to the primer.. offcourse it happened to me.. Not so visible from some angels (like the back.) but it shines more than before and it smells very nice (toothpaste rubbing..)

http://www.briansmodelcars.com/mb/view.forums.asp is the only other real decent forum but there is too much american stuff and AMT and revel kits for my liking there. Im also a member of the Model Car and Rally Car Model groups on yahoo too but i rarely post stuff there.

This forum is much more to my taste coz so many are into jap cars and jap kits like me. However this site had eluded me for some time and i was so excited when i found it.

I've gotta say, the sticky threads in this forum ROCK! The "painting guide" and "tips you learned the hard way" or whatever they are called. Those two threads almost eliminate the need to post questions. Great job.

I'm hoping to start contributing a lot more now that my living arrangement is finally getting settled. Hopefully lots of projects coming soon.
