2 Tickets in 2 Weeks in 2 different cities.

1.) Had the car for the week, fiulled up with gas. Needle didnt go up thought I would drive around and see if it would go up. Went through out local campus, stopped as at the first stop sign. Saw a cop on the left side driving, thought nothing of it. Next thing I know I had the lights behind me. Apparently there was a stop sign I never saw,

1The stop sign is not visible when coming up on it.

2.The stop sign is proceeded by a extremely dark street the “back lighted” by eight bright lights facing on-coming traffic.

3.I monitored the stop sign for approximately ten minutes at 10:00 o’clock at nigh and observed six cars go through two of which made any type of signal that they saw the stop sign. The remaining four made no indication that they even noticed the stop sign.

What do you think?

2.) Ticket number two going along on a saturday night. get pulled over by an unmarked police car. tells me I was doing 52 in a 40 ( I dont know maybe was) the said I passed without safety I dont think soI dont rember passing anyone. He told me that he first got me speeding then decided to "see what I was going to do" and followed me. He then proceeded to check out my whole car , checked tags walked around the front of my car even.

I am in TX, Emissions is not an issue where I live so there is no reason he should be checking everything out so closely.

Next is an incident tha happened tonight. I went ot aa Wal-mart that was outside of town abouut 5 min. I get on the highway on my way back and am tailgated by a car even though I am going the speed limit.I stop at a stop light and see that it is a cop. I turn into the nearest store parking lot,go ot the door to see that it is closed early. I go through the parking lot to see him waiting at the other end by some gas pumps. he then follows hem through two turns in the lan next to me, the speed limit is 30Mph so I slow down to 25 and he slows down to 25 I go ot thirty he goes to thirty. I make another turn and he follows. I seem turn a street behinds an circle around and turn off his lights and wait for me.

This shit pisses me off extremely bad I had done nothing ot draw attention to myself. Is it my car?

1. Tell them exactly what u said. That the way it is positioned and the lights you could not see the sign.
2. Chill out with the speeding. (if you were speeding)
3. Yes its your car. Cops see a young kid driving a 2-door coupe and think punk.

1) Take pictures and show them when you go to court. Advise the judge that you did not see the sign, but would have stopped if it had been visible.

2) If you're not sure of how fast you were going, then you might have been speeding. Aside from the usual advice(pay attention to your speed) you should usually try to have things reduced, so going to court and pleading not guilty is a good start. There are numerous threads here about speeding tickets, check them out for advice.

Incident) Sounds like the police are keeping their eye on you. Small town? Do you have a history of tangling with the police? Your car looks fast, and that may be enough to get their attention. I'd say it's best to watch your a** for awhile, make sure you are following the law. Don't give them a reason to follow you or pull you over. Eventually they'll quit watching you. (and...it might have been the same cop that gave you the speeding ticket, "keeping an eye on you" during this incident.)

That's the biggest distraction/eyesore today. People don't know how to use/aim their lights. Fog lights on during a clear day etc.

when your in a situation where your being followed by the police and not being pulled over...your best bet would be to pull over right away....they are following you to see you screw up again so they can rack up more tickets...basically they are monitoring you to see if you are DWI
