00 SS Dual Climate Control Issue!

So, my A/C works...but only on the passenger side. The driver side blows warm air, as the other blows nice and cool! Both climate sliders are all the way down into the blue.

Any suggestions on what this may be?

Re: 00 SS Dual Climate Control Issue!

I had the same problem with my '00 LS! I had mechanics telling me I needed a new compressor!!!! I knew that was not the answer. I finally found a reliable mechanic in town and we talked it thru. All it needed was to be topped off with freon the correct way. After two weeks of there being equal air on both the passenger and driver sides, I notified the district rep of the chain repair shop and allowed him to look at it. There was no leak of freon! How about that! A woman got the job done right! If it were a compressor, you wouldn't receive cool air on either side.
