Front blower stays on - 2000 Estate

A few weeks ago the front blower on our 2000 Villager Estate began to blow any time the ingition switch is on. The only way to get it to stop is to pull the 2 blower fuses on the fuse panel. All controls on the panel still work. The fan speed still varyies appropriately it just won't shut off. I didn't see anything like this posted. Any suggestions on what to check?

Pull the switch unit out and open it to check for broken or jumped solders. I have a digital one not sure if its the same but I will sell it if needed. Check closely around the area of the on/off button
