Need GM Part Number for "filter-equipped liquid line" service replacement part for 95
Is there really such a thing. I had my compressor, accumulator, and orifice tube replaced by the dealer almost 2 months ago. Cooling has been marginal ever since. I brought the thing in twice more and the orifice is getting clogged up with metal. Dealer says they can't find a listing for this part. Let me here some feedback if you've had A/C work done. Here's what the 95 FSM says about it pretty much word for word:
"FILTER-EQUIPPED LIQUID LINE A failing compressor may produce a quantity of small metal particles before the compressor seizes. These metal particles spread throughout the refrigerant system and may plug the orifice tube. Previously this debris was flushed out of the system with a special solvent but this method is no longer recommended. Instead the high side (liquid) refrigerant line should be replaced by a service replacement part that contains a built-in filter. This service replacement liquid line should be installed whenever a seized compressor is replaced or the orrifice tube is repeatedly plugged. IMPORTANT! The filter in the service replacement liquid line has a built-in orifice. Therefore, the expansion (orifice) tube is no longer needed. Do not attempt to install an expansion (orifice) tube in the joint between the condenser outlet and service replacement filter-equiped liquid line."
Need a good Delco or GM Part number please. Thanks in advance.
