I Hate Insurance Companies!!

I just got a call from the insurance company of the lady who caused the accident i was in. They told me my car is only worth $1300 (90 gs-t, mt, 131k, fair body). I want to shoot them. I asked where he got that value and he wouldn't tell me. I finally go him to give me a "name" he said it was ABC autosource, sounds made-up. I already have a lawyer so hopefully I'll get more he also said there was a dent on the passenger side (which wasn't part of the accident and it wasn't there before). I can't believe insirance companies can get away with this kind of bullshit.

Well, the dent on the door was pretty signifigant though... it wasn't just a little dent that a rock might have done... it was full blown backed into.... so that is actually pretty reasonable.... think how much the homos that backed into your car paid you... you weren't going to get more than 2grand on that...

Yeah man, insurance companies are a bitch. I got $4000 for my 96 RS ( thats without medical though

). I am expecting a couple more thousand from medical next week. So I am happy with what i got for my car. But they always try to give you the least possible value for your car.
I would advise you to go to a shop and fix your car back with the money they give you. If the car is hit bad, more problems will occur later on. You can always sell it and get a 2G

I should have figured your retarded-ass would reply. That was the driver's side fender that got backed into they said there was a large dent on the PASSENGER side door, try reading next time then you wont sound so dumb...

I typed your stuff in the KBB and got $3105. Is your car just not repairable at all? I would talk mainly to your side of the insurance because they are at least 65% on your side rather than the 0% of the other parties insurance. Has someone been out to asses your car yet(inspect it and give a quote)? Because I got some of the same crap when I was fighting my claim. They told me I would get nothing but you just have to fight it all the way. And either way if your car isn't physically salvageable just take the 1500 or whatever they end up passing over and drop your old motor in a different frame.

P.S. Have you gotten the police report yet? That's the ticket to the $$$$.

So far the insurance company has said the will pay 90% of the damage, they say I'm 10% at fault, I was on a street going 30 in a 35 and some lady made a left off a side street right in front of me. They said i failed to stop to avoid an accident, I was like ten feet away when she pulled out! They also said because i didn't see her car stopped at the stop sign i was partly at fault. Anyway i talked to a lawyer who said all this is bullshit. I'm not at fault in any way. I also went to the hospital for whiplash and the insurance co offered me a whopping $250 for pain and suffering!!!!! Even if i end up not getting all that much more money because of lawyer fees i want the company to loose as much money as possible.

p.s. I'm gonna talk to them about buying the car back and dropping the engine in my talon then selling my talon and getting a 2g.

How hard was the hit and what damage to the car? My car had minimal damage - broken front bumper, hood was a little messed up, and radiator cracked but hey they said it was totalled so OK gimme the ca$h

They have to give retail value, The damage was pretty bad, the bumper was broken, left fender gone too, hood was messed up, left headlight and the turn signal. Also the strut was broken, the rim was bent, the driveshaft was destroyed, and i think the steering was messed up too.

Doesnt it vary depending on location? I think I got different numbers for a the same car in different states, but I am very tired and might not have any fuckin clue what I am talking about.

You may be tired, but you are 100% right.

Why would they give you retail value for your car? There is no way it was in showroom condition, which is what retail is. Take the $1,500, buy the car back, take the motor and anything else worth anything, dump that car for a few hundred if you can get it from somebody, and buy a newer DSM.

Retail doesn't mean showroom quality, it's what you'd expect to pay at the dealer. They have to give me enough money to replace the car, based on an average price of cars avalible in this area. I'm talking to my lawyer again today. I found out that the guy who called me about the car gave me a fake company, he said they got the price from abc autosource, this company doesn't exist, he also gave me a fake phone number.

The insurance companies do all to no pay money! I do not wamt to advertise some, but insurance are different. It is necessary to search and find other variants
