neon or LED?

thinking of getting a neon/LED underglow kit but only one problem...
i want the kit in red but i dont know which one to get. i heard that one is brighter and the one is durable (lasts longer) can someone please help me out? i want to know which one is better. looking for the brightest kit and willing to pay! thanx

LED is what it needs to be...

i got mine on ebay for a bill, sick kit, wireless remote, 15 diff. patterns, sound sensitivity, music sensors, easy install....
