confused as shit what kinda bseries tranny is this?
how can i tell if my tranny on my b16 is hydro or cable cuz it has the cable clutch hook up on the front an speedo sensor in the back if u im me right now under aim ill show u pix dreammachines90

if there is a lever bolted to the front of the housing it's cable, if there is a opening in the front of the housing and the fork is removable it's hydro.

doesnt matter what kind of vss it has on the back. all the vss is for is to read your speed. some cars has mechanical vss's and some has electronic vss's both are interchangable on any tranny even d series. what determines which vss you need is by which gauge cluster your running. for example if you are running the stock 4th gen cluster you need a mechanical vss which you can take off your stock d series.
for example when i first did my ls swap, i couldnt get my stock d series vss out so i only had a electric vss. so i put the electronic vss on just to plug the hole and i drove around like that with no speedometer till i found a mechanical vss so i swapped it with the electronic and ran the cable into my car and hooked it up to my stock cluster and now it works fine

well if you are looking for a cable vss, and are using yoru stock cluster, then use your stock d series vss
