**Fastest car for under 15k**

I'm looking for a fast car under 15k mainly for short distan. As in less then a mile. I'm into any type of cars from muscle to ricers. All together my car has to be under 15k. I have some relatives that would do the installing work if you would think a car with something such as a engine swap or what not. Though labor fee's will still be there just a bit cheaper. Mainly what would be the best bet for me fastest car under 15k for the most part short distances.

Thanks,
Erik

96-98 Mustang Cobra, 98+ LS1 Camaro or Firebird. With 15k you'll still be able to throw on some performance mods as well.

there are a couple cars but i would say one of the best is the mitsu 3000gt vr4. it can be somewhat of a stretch to find one with good miles for less than 15k but ive seeen em. they do have problems though cuz if you launch em too hard on a regular basis the already weak tranny will break pretty fast. some people report having very few problems with these cars but others (usually those that drive them hard) say that they can be fairly unreliabe. parts arent cheap either. insurance can be a nightmare lol. overall though, they look very hot and perform to match. dont let their weight deceive you cuz they weigh like 3800.

really ? it seems cars are way cheaper in the US than in england, i was surprised to hear the new mustang GT convertible was about $25k (right ?) i mean you just cant get those kind of cars for that price around here.

You can get those cars for under 10,000 usd if you look hard enough. The GT coupe is right around 25k, the conv. is a little closer to 30k if I'm not mistaken. You guys get some pretty cool cars that I wish we had in the States, but looking at some prices of comperable products it does seem like you pay more for them.
