C180 flashing heater controls

1995 C180 Auto Saloon Elegance. If the ignition is turned on, the lights behind the two circular heater controls flash rapidly. I thought this was the immoboliser, but no. Engine starts OK, lights still flash. Once the side lights are swithed on the flashing stops, but the back light lights go out and stay out. Also, the engine temperature builds up to normal, yet the fan will only blow hot air even though the tempurate thumb wheels are set to blue (cold).

I suspect some sort of cooling problem. Any ideas??

Mike did you find the problem with the flashing heater controls as my 94 180 is the same Andy.

Have just joined, I have the same problem on 95 C180, have you solved the problem?

I am also having this problem on my C180 (1995).

With the weather being rather hot at the moment getting blasted with volcanic heat from the dash is not a good look

Does anybody have any ideas as to the cause of this problem and an answer as it is driving me crazy.

Need to scan the acc control module with sds. See what codes are present. These things crap out alot- do an online search fro reman controllers. most liklry the only fix.
