Question 97 GMC Sierra 1500 SLE !Dash & Running Lights will not work!

The dash and Running Lights are out no power to them all fuses are good...Is there a inline fuse someplace else besides the fuse box under the hood? Don't want to have to take it to the dealer to get ripped off if there is an easy fix... Thanks GC

I am having the same problem. Anyone who can help shed light greatly appreciated.

As this in an older post, If Guitar Charles got it fixed, please let me know how.

Fixed it. It is the light switch itself. I check the power to it and from the switch and then the lights worked. I need a new switch. I called the auto store and about a three hundred dollar bill. Think I will check the juck yard at this point.

Hi,
I replaced my Delco 97 GMC headlight switch with a new one from gmpartsdirect.com. It was $34.95 plus shipping.
Part number 15013005, cost $34.55, shipping $9.95, total $44.50
When it also failed 9 months later the local dealer honored the one year warrantee.

Thanks Bob

Before you responded I had to jerry rig it. The head lights worked so I pulled off the front running light cover and jumpered the head light to the running light and had power back to everything. So now I will order the switch and remove the jumper.

Merry Christmas

GC
