I was thinking....(dangerous I know)


When I go tan, I hate using goggles because they leave the dreaded "raccoon eyes". But you aren't supposed to tan without the goggles becasue your eyelid is too thin to protect your eye from the UV light. So why don't they make contacts that block UV light so you can tan without the goggles?? Anybody ever heard of this??


edit: spoke too soon, they do have uv blocking contacts.....(dang, I almost had my million dollar idea)

Yip, my Contacts have a degree of UV block in them, but its not at 100% which is what you need in a taning bed thingy.

But why go to the trouble of spending all that money when theres this called the sun out side, and guess what, its free!

Yea I know, my girlfriend tans outside, but she has to sit out like
thirty minutes a day...it only takes me five minutes in the tanning bed. Plus she's got tan lines, has to take a shower afterwards because it's so damn hot out here in texas, and the sun is so bright she has to wear shades, so she has the classic lines going down the side of her temples from them. I guess you pay for convenience.

I don't tan, myself. It's hot, boring, and takes too much time. I guess I'll be glad when I'm 40.

I have a mate who tans regulary, but he's about as Gay as you can get.


And damn, I wish I could spend 30mins in the sun in summer and only just get tanned.
Our average burn time is about 10mins.

i saw a story on tanning in tanning beds on the news. there was a lady who used a bed and got skin cancer on her nose. so i guess there's risk to using a tanning bed over the good ol' sun.

Tanning in NZ is a joke, I go outside in summer and get burnt in 5 minutes. I hate have red hair, and the bloodly genes that it gives you.

You americains, who have put out so many cfcs that i can't go outside for long in summer.
