Celica Engine, need help

Yo, i want to put a Celica Engine in my 94 Toyota Tercel. I found out that they can be fitted in a tercel with some so welding and stuff to it.. the reason why i wanna do this is because i love my tercel, it has a light body, its was our first car and I want to keep so yea... i was wonderin if anyone know how much a brand new Celica Engine would cost me ? around what ? i heard one of my friends telling me to go to a Toyota Dealer and have one order for me..... but first i wanna find out how much it costs.... Also anyone know where i can get Custom Tranaxles ... cuz i know Celica's Axles wouldnt do me much in a Tercel if you know what i mean... anyone help would be good.. thank you

U could check ebay, unless the engine has to be brand new. They usually have rebuilt engines on there but it just depends on what engine u want. what engine is in it now? U might be able to use a 3sge or 2zz engine from a new celica gt-s. not sure how much room u have under the hood so I can't really help except to tell u to check ebay and do a search for celica. I'll check there today so if I find any thing I'll let u know.

go 4agze, or 20v 4age, ive seen em swapped in your car a few times on the net, its alot easyer and ALOT cheaper....

I totally agree, especially if you have to cut and weld to fit a celica motor in there.

ive actually been looking online at a buncha 20v motors, its either 4agze bottem end w 20v top end or 4agze bottem end w f head and turbo

pretty much its all motor or turbo

so wait. the 4agze or 20 v 4 age are good engines... whos the make them ? i mean i know alot about cars and stuff.. but like when people say engine names like 4 agze or stuff like that.... im totally like lost... no jokes.. itz funny... my 94 tercel has a 4 eft or something like that... same engine as paseos have... ill look up 4agze.. how much do they run for ?

I think the 4agze is the supercharged MR2 engine. Isn't that what 91ST is puttin in his celica? That should be bad azz lol.
Check ebay becausethere is usually 20v 4age engines on there. The 4agze is kinda rare on ebay but there might be one on there.

yea 4agze is outta levins (jap only) and aw11 (mr2's)

20v also cam from levins (jap only)

and you have a 4efe not 4efte, if you havd a 4efte youd be running low 14's

why arent u looking into the 4efte swap? its got 140 HP at 7 psi of boost, and its fairly easy to sqeueze more power outta it, you dont be maxxing out any dynoes with that little 1.3 liter motor but with a terecel onyl weighin in at like 2100 pounds you could take some h22 swapped hatches if you ran about 12-15 pso of boost
paseos (pretty much same wight) run low 14's mid 13's at 10 psi and high 12's at 15psi of boost, not bad for a econ motor with an F head

haha funny thing about my car is that it has a tercel engine i know ..and i believe it has a 4efe...and i think im like the only person that knows how to drive that car.. the engine is soo messed up.. itz leaking online .. and i got smoke coming out of the back.. its insane... and i looked up online, how much HP a tercel engine has .. well a 94 tercel... it said about 84 HP... i dont think mine has even 50 Hp i feels like a Grass cutter lawn motor. So wait what year of Mr2 engine will fit in my car .. the old ones ? what about the new Gen ? like the new models from like 99 - present ?? i just wanna say thank you all the people who are helping with this .. cause i learn alot and and you guys are helpful. the 4agze is more powerful than the 99+ mr2s. any mr2 witha 4agze will work.
