ok, so the lemon law doesnt apply to private sellers. i took the new "used" car i bought, a 2002 mazda protege to the auto shop, they have told me that the car was previously involved in a major accident. extensive body damage/work, bad struts, possible bent frame. when i bought it the title was clean, carfax report was clean. can i get the previous owner to pay for the repairs legally for not disclosing the accident to me? also, isnt he required to report that the car was involved in a major accident to the dmv or someone? i thought it was illegal not to?

Re: big issues
No, he is not required to report that the car was in an Accident, also the accident may not have occured while he owned the car.

Re: big issues
You may have a claim against CARFAX...don't they offer some sort of buyback guarantee if their information is wrong?
