pics & some good news.

my friend took some pics and 1 vid (more to come) of my car, and put them on his website. His name is andy, he has the grey 240 on his page. (sr20)

i got some good news too, one of my friends friends gave me an intercooler basically, its a jonny race car one ( www.johnnyracercar.com ) its supposed to hold like 350 hp. It spools alot faster, but doesnt feel as powerful, my boost gauge is teed into my wastegate line and it says im now running 11 psi... but no more leaks, hopefully i dont run this one over Smile

Wastegate line is from FPR? Hmmm

Move the MAFS farther from the compressor inlet.

Get some T-Bolt clamps.

And mount the intercooler properly...

got a new intercooler, all couplers to the intercooler are bolted with tbolt clamps
so the intercooler isnt fucked up anymore, its looks mean as hell, lol.
and yea i had 3 people in the car on those pulls.
why wouldnt i want the wastegate line to the fpr?, it connects to the intake manifold to give me exact boost. there is no where to put that mafs, unless i rigged up something hardcore, im thinking about going blow through realllll sooon.

You need the wastegate to react quickly so you dont boost spike. when its on the FPR Vacuum its about the furthest from the compressor outlet so it will take more time to react to what the turbo is doing. Having the wastegate see "exact" boost doesnt really matter at all, especially since it will always be a step behind trying to control it.


You want the wastegate feed within a foot down the hotpipe.

No actually I was perplexed as to why your boost dropped. So it was kinda like an "ask to be sure" question. I run my wastegate line from the FPR line as does Anthony and Tat. We all confirm no boost spike issues. I think that is a bigger problem with those little snail turbos that spool off idle.

my boost never drops, i had to of let off of the throttle or something. i have never had Any problems with boost spikes either, not once. but yea, there was a pretty big guy in the front and a person in the back, and me, so that a good 500 lbs, lol, yes i do need to get some more vids w/o them in it but, i just wanted to show you guys what its got.
o btw i have no exhaust lol, its open dp.
