E30 Power lock problem
Hello,
I have a 1987 325e and my power locks stopped working on all my doors and truck. The key turns in the door but won't lock or unlock the doors and I can't get the key to even turn in the trunk. I changed the fuse but that isn't the problem. I was wondering if there was any way to get the trunk unlocked manually so I can get my stuff out?.....just until I get the problem fixed.... HELP! |

had the same prob, make sure the door lock pulls, or knob is ALL the way down then ALL they way up, cycle the driverside first lock knob, it could take a few times of push pull, it then should reset the others, there should here an audiable click as the selinoids activate on the rest of the door locks.

Re: E30 Power lock problem
Hello,
This didn't work, I heard the clicks, but the actual locks aren't locking, nor is the trunk opening. Is there a way to jump the wires to open the trunk? |

Re: E30 Power lock problem
make sure your in the car and only the driverside, lock then unlock, then get out of the car and use the key to lock the driverside dr and unlock, if this doesent work then there is something wrong with the actual lock mechanism

Re: E30 Power lock problem
sorry i don't know about cutting and jumping wires to get to trunk, kinda sounds like that might be making more problems, good luck, hope this helps.

Re: E30 Power lock problem
You might be using the valet key on the trunk. Find the key that can double-lock the drivers side and use that on the trunk.
