running hot?

im looking to buy a 95 gt, (68000 miles, manual) and when i test drove it, it ran between the M and A on normal, then with air on, on up to the A. It has a edelbrock intake, 70mm throttle body, and edelbrock mufflers. The guy said that this was the reason for it running warmer. Is this true or bs?? It also has a cold air intake deal, but its sitting in the engine bay, sucking in hot air. any suggestions helpful!!

Re: running hot?

i had a mech look at it, he said it looked like the timing cover gasket had been replaced, so either it was leaking or they possibly put a cam in. could this cause it to run warmer??
