Excellent quote on that page:

"Mod Cheap, Mod Twice"

Everyone should live by that.

Re: Project Goodwill

I read about this car a while ago and couldn't freakin believe it. I bet that's the fastest fwd with a stock bottom end and stock turbo.

Re: Project Goodwill

The owner/driver was up in my area about a month ago and stopped by the track. Cool guy. That was just before he ran the 10 second pass. Needless to say, I like his style. I've been following that car since they started. The mph gives some impression of how light that car is.

Re: Project Goodwill

Man, thats fast for a FWD. I know that Hahn's Eclipse RS is running mid 8's but they invetsed a little more than 5k. About what time would a AWD have if some one invested 5k in it ?

Re: Project Goodwill

Hard to say without knowing the weight. I don't think there is a goo way to answer that question. You coul dput 5k in an AWD and run slower than stock easily enough.

We could compare AWD to FWD only, all other things equal (weight would change though). He is getting 1.6 second 60 foot times if I remember correctly. Yes, low 1.6s according to the slips posted on the site. Thats almost as good as it gets with AWD and street tires. So at the same mph, the ET would be similar. A big factor here is weight, not just what went into the car. But only buying the RIGHT mods, and getting them at a good price, and then tuning it very well and driving it even better is the key to doing things cheaply.
