starts and runs but rearend seams locked



86 t-bird. starts and runs great. the front wheels are able to move. the emergency brake is not locked... tranny is good, changes from drive to reverse, and neutral. but the rear wheels will not move. i am at a loss of what to look at at this point. please any one..... Thank you

Have you jacked up the the back to see if you can spin them by hand? Is the tranny full of fluid? You said you could move between gears but is the tranny actually engaging when the selector shows D or R, etc?

also is it revving up in drive or reverse, do you see the driveshaft turning or do you see it at least try to move(the driveshaft) when switching gears
