3.8l factory exhaust size
does anyone know what the factory 3.8l exhaust size was? specifically 98+...i have 3" on my car and i cant remember....the reason why im asking is my cousin has a 99 3.8l he just bought and was wanting to put a 3" muffler i have on it and i cant remember what size adapter / connector thing he will need for it....thanks!
edit: im thining it was 2 1/4 but im not sure

Y-pipe is 3"... cat is 3" in and 2.25" out. After the cat the exaust is 2.25"
