Finally got time to replace my fuel filter today. Guess what, I ended up not doing it. Relieving the pressure was easy. Looked for the filter, and IO couldnt find it. It wasnt under the car by the tank. Its on the firewall almost under the wash fluid tank. No way in hell can I get in there without taking off alot of stuff. Not enough time for that. So I got it all back, and got a fuel filter sitting with me right now. I'm going to try to get my mechanic, next time the car is in, and get it moved to under the car, by the tank. Is there any advantage.
Took off plugs for the first time since I installed them last year. Checked them all out, PERFECT!! No damage, no oil, no nothing. Regular wear, gapping sill perfect. I was happy. Very happy! I was then trying to stop my belts from squeaking with some belt dressing, and ended up spraying too much on. I took a rag, while the engine was running, and tried drying the belts. Done this tons of time, but this time, the rag got pulled in, and the belt went flying off! Took 2 minutes to put that in. Washed filter. Also did some more cleaning. For some reason, the car is a lot louder now! IDK why it is, but the exhaust is significantly louder. I don't know why. Idle was alittle nicer too. Any ideas? If the plugs were good, and all I did was relieve the fuel, that shouldnt make a difference, should it? Thanks

If the filter was dirty that could help some. I don't know if it would make a significant difference in the sound though.

If that is the case then it will probably stop up again soon. You should get it changed a.s.a.p.
