|
Coolant Leak?
I parked my car in the garage and overnight I had a Puddle of Coolant on the ground, I looked but couldnt find where its coming from.. Im guessing the radiator is cracked.. Any suggestions?

I tried stop leak, I dont really like it cause that stuff just gunks up overtime.. an could clog the radiator it self, I had a problem with it in the past.. but, I may just replace the radiator and hoses.

I would just search deeper. Get the car in the air. Get at least an area the leak is coming from.
Motor?? Radiator?? In between??

look for little drops of water hanging... water will stick and slide down something till it can't go down anymore then it falls off... look underneath for drops then follow the water trail to your problem... if there isn't any try turning on the car and watching from underneath, see if you can see water coming down and pinpoint where its comin from

Do you drive around with the A/C alot? The condensation will cause water to drop, not alot though but some. To see where the water is coming from.. turn on the car, open the hood and let the car heat up, when the fans kick on the water will start going from the radiator to the engine and such to cool off but if it is leaking you'll be able to see what hose is messed up or if the radiator is cracked somewhere.

 The coolant system is a closed system and condensation has nothing to do with it...condensation is where the water in the Air condenses to form droplets...now IF condensation were affecting the cooling system...it would eventually become over full.And the air conditioning has nothing to do with the radiator or its fluid level. Check your oil for signs of water (looks brown like mud), check the underside of the oil fill cap. check the exhaust for white "smoke".

STOP the stop leak.
it's probably something petty and running a motor pumped full of stop leak with no where to go only causes more problems like a cracked block

this is an easy one... STEP 1 Locate leak... Step 2 come back and tell us where it is....Step 3 fix leak...
Just get under, over, and inside of that car looking for your source of leak... you'll find it...
