fuel line leaks but only cert times please read

This is on my 89 trans am but im not geting a response there you guys must be smarter. Now where my aluminum fuel line comes off the tank and goes into the female end where u slide the o ring in and pull threaded part down to snug into place. When i first do this no leak let idle for an hour back outta garage wash it start put back in garage still no leak. The next day start fuel shoots out right at the connection where the line goes through the sliding threaded piece. The o ring is perfect and have done this 3 times never goes away. This car only has 20 thousand miles on it so theres no damage, dirt, rust etc. Any ideas would app. By the way outta all the forums im into the f series has the best response.

perhaps you are using the wrong size o-ring?maybe you should try some teflon tape on the threads along with the o-ring.
