Considering an A6, need some advice.

My first car was a well-kept, used '78 Audi Fox that served me well, I now find myself considering a used A6.

I like the style change made in '98, are there any years that are better than others? Or ones to steer clear of?

I live in SouthEast TX and the car would never see snow so awd is not that important to me. And most of the roads around here have no curves, just straightaways.

I like the style and value I see in a pre-owned '98 -'02 A6, but I'm still concerned about reliability.

Are there any trouble spots that I should be aware of?

parents have a 2.8l audi a6 from 1998. no major problems at all. i have no problems in recommending it.
