Question water temp guage.

well eveyrone im jsut tyrin to ask hwo oy uinstall the sender. do oy uinstall it in the stock mount under the dizzy. if so then thats all i really needed.

Sounds like you already know the answer.


Yes, the sender is located under the dizzy. A green wire leads to it. You will be replacing it right?


**Edit**
I just realized that "oy uinstall" = you install. I was reading it as uninstall. Anyway, yes, replace the stock sender which is located under the dizzy, if it will fit. Most aftermarket water temp gauges come with senders that are to big to fit our engines.

yea so i suck at typing but at least my point was quite clear to someone. as for replacing it yes i am my autometer guage came with a new sender.

The sender that comes with autometer gauges is to big. You will have to locate the sender somewhere else. I put mine in the line coming from the tb. And no, you can't use the stock sender

or retap it into the head.

i believe autometer actually has info covering this.

anyways, if your stock temp gauge still reads hot and cold, thats all you really need.

i think everyone is kidna yankin my crank sayin the stock snesory wont work. becuase iwas catching a signal off of it. wasnt driving around but i was catching one.

Are you saying your stock sendor will work with an autometer gauge? If so, try it. 100 bucks says it wont.

when i get my guage pod to put the guages in ill chech fully. i coudlnt test it much cause it was all ghetto rigged just to see if it would work and i knew hwo to do it.
