Worth getting without VTEC

If i cant afford a GSR, do you suggest i get a lower model (none include VTEC, right?)?

what a about a LS, and shoot for an engine swap?

Whats the diff. between the GS, SE, and LS?

whats so bad about the LS engine ??? your going to pay at least $3000 plus install for a GSR engine,... ur better off saving till you get a GSR

i think the gs model has no sunroof or power any thing the ls has power everything + sun roof ,... the se not sure but they all have the same engine,... gs is lighter i think...

if u get a LS then do a Swap.. u might as well of gotten a GSR.

if you get RS/LS/GS go lsvtec or turbo.

RS is the lowes model.. no ABS and no moonroof (side moldings not painted 94-97 models)

then u got the LS..ABS, moonroof, no alloy rims (side moldings not painted 94-97 models)

GS is a LS with painted side moldings, optional leather, and alloy rims.

SE dont really know..

and then u have the GSR and type R's above the rest.

I have a 98 GS and it has leather, power mirrors, sunroof, non-painted side skirts, spoiler, alloy wheels, ABS, cruise, power windows........thats all I can think of right now. It is the highest base model available (before you get to the GS-R). And suprisingly it is the lightest (stock of course) of the base models and lighter than a GS-R.

if you can get a ls and do a GSR swap do it. it can be cheaper in the long run if you are under 21 becuse insurance will be on the LS and not the GS-R insurance on a GS-R for a 17yr old is like getting bent over and raped

correct me if i'm wrong, but the gsr is just a gs with a vtec engine. hence the r at the end of gs. so the gs and gsr are the only model teg's that come with a factory spoiler, not counting the ITR. from cheapest to most expensive it goes rs,ls,gs,gsr,ITR.

sleeperteg, are you sure the gs is the lightest stock teg? I always thought it was the rs, cuz it isn't weighted down with moonroof, abs brakes, etc.

but about the intake side, no the b18b is not the same as b18c. if you look at the intake manifold of a vtec engine, it is placed lower than the one on a non-vtec engine. the bores are not the same either on the heads, so i don't think it will fit.

or if u dont want to go threw Engine Swaps and al that stuff... Get a 94 Gs-R.. with ALOT of miles on it... get rid of everyhing u dont want in the car (Spare tire, Jack, BackSeat lol) Then ull be set.... The Let the modding Begin... The Milage doesnt really matter if the Car was well maintained.. And U are gonna replace Most of the Engine parts.... Its up to u.... Rs/Gs/Ls with Engine swap or Head Swap.... GSR Kill all the dead weight and u have Vtec from the start.......

I hear that. I am 17 and i pay $300 a month for my 95 GSR. Yea it's bullshit but i gotta live with it if i wanna keep the car.

P.S. hey "ineedacar", i would look into the 94-95 GSR like what i have. They are the best year for the integras and they are lighter than the new ones. They do 0-60 in 7.1 sec where as the 96+ Does it in 7.5 sec i believe. I think that it's because it's heavier and OBDII is harder to work with.

get an ls, its cheaper.. u dont need vtec to have fun.. just slap a turbo on it.LS has more lowend power and the compression is set low which makes it work well with turbos, ect.

LS- abs,ALLOY WHEELS (98-01 MODELS) , power everything windows, doorlocks, painted side moldings, cloth interior, moonroof, looks just like a gsr but doesnt have the spoiler, but that was an option you could get. 1.8L DOHC NON vtec 142hp 127 ft tq. available in 5 speed, 4speed automatic trans. Obd2 sensors 94-95 had obd1

GS- same as the LS only is has leather seats and a spoiler.

RS- lightest..

GSR- the daddymack - All of the above plus leather, spoiler, 1.8L DOHC VTEC 170hp 128 ft tq.
