97 wrangler brakes

fluid leaking from back side of drivers side rear brake drum any ideas and can I remove the drum without creating any problems (have never messed with drum brakes)

Youve got a leaking brake cylinder that will need to be replaced. They also make kits to rebuild the cylinders but Ive always just gone with new ones for a couple bucks more. If you dont know drum brakes, either take a couple pics of it before dismantling the springs and brackets or get a manual that has pics or at least remove the other drum to compare because you will probably forget how it all goes back together. You will also need to know how to bleed brakes. If your brake shoes got fluid on them you will either need to clean them off really well or replace those also.

edit: Yes you can and will have to remove the drum.
