Just broke my 60,000km warranty.
If it's anything like my dishwasher, now is when all the shit starts falling out.

Dude, you need to get out more. Isn't that like 5,000 American MILES?
LOL, is your dishwasher made by Sony? Well, I don't know about shit falling out, but with mine at 58,000 now, I have to start thinking about replacing wear items. I already ordered distributor cap, rotor, and plugs and I'll probably do my brakes within the next 10K or so and flush cooling system and and replace brake fluid, etc. Then I can start preparing for the big one...replacing all the belts. WIll probably do that between 75K and 90K. Hopefully my clutch will hold out until atleast 100K, despite my attempts to fry it a few times.

Damn, my truck has less than 50,000 miles and I already replaced all that. Of course coolant I change every year because of my skiing antics. It's overkill, but I don't want to be stranded on a back road somewhere after a day of XC skiing with a blown freeze plug or something. I like to keep my truck reliable so I tend to be a maintenance freak.

Im at 51,000 miles.
Replaced front brakes and spark plugs at 30,000. I do the tranny service every 10,000 and replaced shocks at 20,000. My understanding from Nissan is that rear brakes can stay good up to 90,000 miles. Fronts should be done by 50,000. Gotta do belts at 65,000 - they are already noisy. The spark plugs are a easy except for one in the back of the engine. That one REALLY sucks. I have one ANNOYING problem though. The 12 volt plug on the bottom right of the middle-dash console wont work anymore. Any ideas on where the problem may lurk?? Ive checked fuses but might be getting the wrong one. I use it a lot for all the gadgets I run in the truck. This one specifically runs my 12 volt to 115 adapter. |

If you did the fronts at 30, I'd check the rears real soon. I did my fronts around 28k and figured the rears would still be in good shape. Come 30k, the rears were worn to the backing and I had to get the drums turned.

I check the brakes about every two months. The rears are in fine and dandy shape. I even have the shoes in my garage for when they need replacing. Nissan told me they last up to 90,000 miles.

![]() Seriously, I can't even get a visual or a touchy feely thing with that last spark plug, so anything would help. I was thinking about doing the other five and going to the dealer to have the last one put in. Question: If you're doing them every 30K, are you running copper plugs? I want to change to copper, but the thought of dealing with that last plug every 30K frightens me, so I ordered more platinum plugs so I can go another 60K +. Any tiny people with small hands who can just climb into the engine compartment are invited to help too!

Be careful on that last plug. I had a friend strip a head on his Frontier trying to replace it. I have a huge shop at my disposal and neither myself or the techs that work there could figure it out. I spent the money on the half hour of labor and sent it to a local Nissan dealer. I figured it was better to spend $30 or so for the install than several thousand to repair the head. Since it only happens once every 45 to 50,000 miles, it was worth it in my opinion.
