OBD II Code PO410
Check Engine light came on & stayed on yesterday.
Code PO410 Secondary Air Injection Pump or Problem? What is it, Where is it, & How do I fix it? Truck is a 2000 GMC Sonoma but the same as an S10 4.3, 4WD, Auto. 130K Miles, Seems to run fine. Never had any problems under the hood other than regular maintenance that I've always done myself since new. Thanks, Gene |

Thanks for the reply, Just an update:
I did the seach & came up with a world of info suggesting the secondary air injection pump was infact bad and blew the fuse. I checked the fuse & it was OK. Anyhow since the code remained I went ahead and purchased a new pump & hose assy ($225). since then I been on the road without time to replace it. After 100 mile with the check engine light lit, I parked the truck at the airport for about a week. Upon my return I noticed immediately after starting it there was no more check engine light. Got home, cleared the code in the history. I've driven it another 1,000 miles and the code never came back. So now we got some spare parts sitting in the garage. Dealer won't return cause its an "Electrical part". Gene |
