Buick-

sup guys i was just wondering if some1 could help meh out with my car..

i got a car its buick i forget what year.. all i know is that it was sitting for 4 years.. bought new battery for it,gas, oil, everything.. now i here i just need a fuel pump.. how much is that gonna cost me?....40-70$?....

(the reason we got this was because some1 was gonna throw it out cause they thought something was burning.. *probably the fuel pump- i here the situation is-my uncle thinks* that the motor could be messed up from the pump but i gotta get 1 to find out..

what do i need to do to help?

Re: Buick-

The price will depend on the year of the vehicle and whether it has fuel injection has a carb. I would guess that it is fuel injected and probably has an in tank pump. If that is the case you will be looking to pay between $90 and $300 for a new one. Of course if it is a pre-84 model a fuel pump will be less than $40. Hope this helps!

Re: Buick-

That depends on whether there is fuel in the tank or not. If there is a full tank of fuel and it sits until the fuel goes bad the pump will probably gum up. If it only sits for a year or so the fuel will remain ok and the pump should have no issues. An empty tank is actually worse because the fuel pump will sometimes seize up when it totally dries out.
