What is the name of the sensor that is attached to the thermostat housing? I paid $70.00 for it to pass smog inspection and have no idea what it's function is!!! HELP! Thanks, Lost (again)

It might be the BVSV i think its called. It tells when the engine should dump fuel vapors from the charcol canister into the intake manifold to get burned up. It tells when the engine is hot so that the vapors aren't pulled into a cold engine causing it to run rough.

Uh OLD!!
Besides it's already been answered along time ago, the BVSV on the christmas tree controls the gas vapors from the charcoal canister to the intake manifold thus being most relative to SMOG testing. |
