This is a dumb question..so bare with me..
About a year ago i was at a dealership with a friend and i took a 99 Z28 for a test drive..just a spin not going over 3rd gear. Just to basically get the feel of the car. One thing i didn't pay any attention to was the seating adjustments.. I'm fairly short (5'7) so i need height adjustment. Naturally the seating is LOW and i was just able to see over the hood. Can you raise the seating so you sit higher,-for MUCH better view of the road..? This is the problem with my thunderbird as well, but you can adjust it's height good..so you have a good view...not that corvette seating.PS, i know the natural low slung seating is a plus for taking turns fast/racing but everyday driving needs other means of view. ESPECIALLY when parking, i tried to park that camaro near a curb...then just let the salesmen take over. I was like "i don't wanna scratch them rims"..

Re: Seating...?
Damn...
Yeah i mean i love..LOVE that seating for highway driving, but once you're on everyday streets/parking lots it is a bitch. Sorry to bring up the word Mustang in here..lol..but i've always preferred the seating in a stang. Then again a camaro is more "performance" oriented.

judging the length of the front of the car is a common problem with camaros... you can sit forward more, you should be able to see fine... try some pillows if you're still not comfortable haha
i'm 5'11" and i lean back far(i'm more comfortable that way), there really is no point to try and see where the nose is... you prolly never will, just gotta get used to it

Re: Seating...?
Lol, or you hit another car at 3mph.....
I would get used to it, it's worth it. I used to drive 30 miles to work months ago, and it was basically get-on the highway, get-off..i'm there. These past couple months i've been unemployed and got used to the Higher seating due to more side street/everyday street driving..rather then all highway. Thanks alot guys, much appreciated.

Re: Seating...?
Dunno about the LS1s but in my third gen, When I try to get a higher seating(about 5'10) my head will hit the roof and the only reason it doesn't is because of the t-tops, imagine being in a hardtop trying to elevate yourself. One pothole and that's it!

Re: Seating...?
Yeah I'm 5'2 and I can see fine in my '92....I still have trouble judging the front length though sometimes....big ass nose. lol If it makes you feel any better, when I had a '91 Cavalier I had to sit on towels because the car didn't have tilt. That was kinda silly.

I'm not sure about the one you drove, but my 94 Z has power seats, and the middle toggly thing can move the entire seat up, down, back, or forward.
