Post swapping tranny from 5 speed to autmatic

i need help with a tranny swap on a 1987 trans am im going from a 5 speed to automatic but the automatic is a 700R4 it has 2 plugs that runs from the tranny to the brain and that is what makes it shift out but the car had a 5 speed manual and it dose not have the plug in for the tranny so can i use the wiring harness for the automatic and put on the car that had the 5 speed and is the brain the same pleas help me becouse i have put lots of time and mony to get this far on my car it was bought brand new by my dad he tore the tranny out and it has sat in the gerage every sense and i aint about to stop now so pleas give me some ideas thank you...... gunner
