headlights dont work on my 1990 ford aerostar

i have a 1990 ford aerostar van and i am having a big problem with it right now. THE HEADLIGHTS DONT WORK!!! lol, anyway i checked everything i could think of. i changed the headlights, checked the bulbs and checked the fuses and nothing seems to help. the strange thing is that when i press the switch for the headlights, the headlights dont come on but everything else, like the dashboard lights and everything come on. also the highbeams work too but you have to hold the lever for them to stay on...basically my problem is the headlights dont work but every other light in the car does. can someone pls help me out i dont know what to do.

My friend is having the exact same problem with her 98 Ford Aerostar! Did you ever find out what the problem was??

Try replacing your dashlight rheostat
