help me with vtec please!!!

alright guys i need a little help.
i have a 1996 integra with a jdm b16, vtec engages at 6. now for some reason i dont have vtec right now at all and i was wondering if you guys had some ideas as of to why?

first do you have a CEL of any kind?
Hows your oil pressure?
Are you letting your car warm to opt temp?

car warms up fine oil press is fine i dont know what a cel is and i will do some checking on the solinoid

if your selonoid is not engaging, there will be a cel.

cel = check engine light.

if you are just worried cause you cant hear it, it is a common paranoia people here have. welcome to the club.

my cel comes on and off all the time and its because of one of my sensors not being hooked up but for some reason last night vtec was a roaring for me. there is a huge difference when it works and when it doesnt. i dont konw what it is but most of my guesses go towards the wiring.
