I don't smoke, yet I have a huge ashtray that flips open underneath the tiptronic gearstick lever.

Here's one of my solutions... when charging my cellphone while driving I have no place to put the phone other than out of reach in the open top dashboard mounted glovebox. So now I use my non functional ashtray to hold my phone steady and within easy reach once its charged.
