240SX VS Integra
Havent Posted in awhile so Ive got a general question. Earlier tonight me and my lil 1990 240SX just STOMPED an 96 Integra LS with a 5 speed on some local backroads. I beat him by around 4 car lengths. Just wanted to know Stock vs Stock with the same driver skill if the Integra would win? THe guy kept saying that I only won because My car is faster which I doubt is true since I already have a 99 Integra LS and my integra will SMOKE my 240 in a str8 line. But Ive never raced the two on backroads and my integra has a TYPE-R suspension and control arms on it. Also I got damn lucky because I ended up passing a cop at one of the corner exits and he just flashed his high beams and gave me a warning. I pretty much crapped my pants then. And just too remind my 240 is the SOHC KA not DOHC. (By the way NEVER race a RWD car with an open rear end on backroads when the tail slides out its scary as hell since the back end hops)

Re: 240SX VS Integra
numbers wise, i think the 240 would win, more torque, rwd, little more hp and comparable weight, explaining your 99 ls being able to smoke your 240? i don't kno, factory freak maybe

Re: 240SX VS Integra
Were those "local back roads" straight or twisty? If they were twisties that would explain a lot - maybe the guy in the ls doesn't know how to handle the curves.
I've driven my friends 240sx and it was fast, but the handling wasn't up to par w/ my 4th gen Prelude - and I know an Integra handles as well as or better than my lude. |

Before my SR, my stock DOHC KA was a dog... Didn't think that it could beat anything. Nice kill though

Re: 240SX VS Integra
compared to the evo...i don't think performance handling gets much better than an evo stock

Re: 240SX VS Integra
Well I've driven both, and I seriously think Evo is way more fun than the 240... I mean maybe it's just up to what you like... Idk...
Either way, he's still twisted in the head...

Re: 240SX VS Integra
It would have been cooler to win on the Touge. Zero-Yon is lame

less likely to lock up and lose traction. 1.5 Way is probably the best for handling, a little slip and a little grip. 2 way is just going to lock up the moment the gas is pushed... drifters heaven.

Re: 240SX VS Integra
2way=T3h Toug333 OwnAge of N00b! AKA Idiot pushes gas in corner, loses traction, lets off gas to find that it locks that way too. So, lose lose for the N00B.
Open diff is good for cornering. Less suspension travel/body roll will increase its effectiveness. I know I have had my share of peg-legs out of corners.LoL And people who say you can't drift open diff are just plain idiots. Best combo for a beginner level driver IMO is a VLSD.
