If you are referring to the possible injector problem, what tests have you done to make you suspect that? Have you tuned the engine? Have you checked or replaced the fuel filter? Have you checked the fuel pressure? How is the spark? Does it have any codes? There are a lot of things we need answers to before we can offer suggestions. The more information you provide, the better responses you will recieve. The only reason I am answering you is because of your attitude. If you think we are magicians and know exactly what is wrong with the truck from your little vague description, then you need to re-think your way of addressing the techs here. In my signature you will see a picture of Merlin gazing into a chrystal ball. That is how much information I have gotten from your description. im not sure everything he has done... but i do know he replaced the fuel filter,pump, tuned it up. has perfect spark.dont know bout the pressure i dunna if hes checked it or not, and we dont know how to check the codes on an 89, juss when hes goin down the road it juss starts like jerkin, like its missin..

Does the miss go away when less gas is given? Or does more gas take the miss out? If it is at a constant light throttle position, if as you say the ignition is good, look to the torque converter or the fluid being dirty. If it is a manual trans, look to the clutch for wear or grease and oil on it. To check the codes for your vehicle, go here:

after he turns it off, when he comes back out...and starts it, it can be a minute to 3 days... everytime it doesnt wanna start caz its flooded...

If truckis indeed flooded, then see which cylinder is flooding. If it is only one cylinder, you can just replace the affected injector. They are easily replaced after you get the fuel rail unbolted. Make sure to lubricate the O rings before installation. Now, see. A litle information goes a long way.

yup, sorry. um its the first cylinder he said, so front of engine, its a strait 6... so we are juss gonna replace the first injector, well i am caz i do all his mechanic work for him...juss never had experience with an injector before... but yea thanks

check the roter if it moves more than an 8th of an inch replace the whole disturbter

hi i'm not the one who wrote that crap but i liked your response hope you can help me i have a 92 f150 when i'm driving along it just dies and i wait about a minute and it starts i've done everything plugs fuel filters checked pressure on injector line i'm at wits end and about to go nuts can you give me any suggestions i would appreciate [email protected] thanks for your time

i had the same problem with my 1990 f150 5.0L and i replaced the power relay (it's the one beside the fuel pump relay)
