98 4x4 help needed

Hey all

I am having problems with my 98 blazer LT. the 4x4 will not engage. If you hit the 4HI and 4Lo it does not even flash or nothing just stays in 2hi. I have changed the vaccum actuator and that did not fix the problem. I tried disconnecting the battery cable and that worked only one time but as soon as I shut the car off it would not go back into 4hi or 4Lo. I tried disconnecting the cable again and it went back to not working. I have tried puting the vehicle in nuetral and hitting the button, the button will flash but it will still not engage. If there is any help you guys could give that would be great. also were can you find 4x4 parts for blazers at.

If it works after you unplug the battery, even if only once, and you have already replaced the vacuum switch, the problem will either be the encoder motor on the transfer case, or the control module thats under the dash.
