Unhappy My poor car!

On our way home yesterday we drove by the panelbeaters where my car is being repainted so I thought I would have a quick look to see how she was looking. I almost had a heart attack when I saw her One side of the car has been stripped ready for repainting and the front is off as well as one of the headlights. I only recognised it by the wheels! She looks so horrible, and when I was talking to the guy he said that there’s worse to come. The bonnet is going to be stripped as is the other side of the car. Poor thing!! Looked like a real Westie car!

She'll look awesome when finished though, so that's all that really matters.

dear god, you scared the shit out of me. I thought something had actually happened to it.

That stuff is just a process of repainting.

I know, but when it goes in looking in pretty good shape other than a few scratches and then I saw it yesterday, my heart just about stopped!

Yep, they have. It’s been a week and a half now. He said that it will probably be ready sometime next week. I'm missing her really badly!

Yes it is a shock. I remember going in to see mine when it was getting done and i nearly cried
Didnt help when they had left the windows down when sanding it and the inside looked like someone had let a flour bomb go off inside

But when it was all finished it was well worth it.

yeah - the windows were open though it wasn't too dirty inside. Ah well, she'll be beautiful when we pick her up

A few years ago I wrecked my Neon pretty bad. I made a left turn into a truck and his back wheel ran over my entire front end. Needless to say it was messy. I went to the shop to visit my car one day....the whole front end, panels, pretty much everything but the motor itself was gone. It was like my car had no life or personality. It had been sitting like that for 3 weeks because they were waiting on parts. A week later Marvin was ready to come home. All new front end and paint job...the car was in much better shape than it was when I bought it new

hey at least you dont have to deal with the types that drive their 80's era comaros and firebirds when it has 5 different colors-spraypaint black, rust, primer, some funky green color and spraypaint blue, all on different panels, and none of them glossy. Every day. Thsoe are the kids that give us people who want to own NICE firebirds and camaro's a bad name.

We have those over here to, although not usually Firebirds and Camaros and we also have the ones that have paid for the bodykit, but can’t afford to have it painted

It’s going to be the same colour, just minus the scratches and stone chips (and with the addition of a new front lip!)
