Thinking about leaving DSM
I have searched everything in my city for a gst/gsx eclipse. I test drove the only GSX for sale and it has a ton of problems which i can fix but the guy wants 7grand for it. 1997 GSX 120K miles on engine. I told him I give him about 5500 but he want 7K so i told him to go screw himself. I also test drove the only 2g GST for sale around here and that things was a hazard. It felt like i was driving on 3 wheels. Insane boost leak and lots of cracks around turbo. Needs new shocks, tires and a new paint job. Smoke comes out of the exhaust and it needs LOTS of work but again I can fix it but he wants 8 grand for it. Its a 1996 GST with 108K on it. So i kinda forgot about that deal.
Yesterday I looked on EBAy and WOW i finally found it. 1997 GSX 64xxx miles, few mods including fuel pump, big 16G, fuel injectors,apexi exhaust and a couple of more things for $3500. He said that shipping coasts were included in the price. So I am thinking wow thats like super cheap for a GSX . It was a 5 speed and reallllllly nice. I decided to show the auction to my friends and some pics of the car and its not on EBAY any more. So today I write him email for some pics and WTF the car he showed me was very nice too but it was AUTO with different tires ( I remembered what tires it had when it was on EBAY). Also i cant find the car on EBAY no more, why did he stop the auction ? Then he tells me moved to Germany ??? Ok, so why did you take the car with you when you cant register it there and also it would coast a lot less to just buy a car over there , and he says he didnt think about it ? So i am thinking this is another EBAy scam since it was too good to be true. I am waiting for him to write me a EMAIL explaining how its two different cars in the pics. Any one here know besides dealerships, auto trader some other sites where i can hopefully purchase a GSX. I am thinking of getting a 1.8 T Golf which I kinda like since I cant find a decent Eclipse for sale. I really want a GSX but the ones that are for sale around here are money pits !! I have no problem spending money on a GSX since I love the car but I want one thats in ATLEAST decent condition. Any one selling a DSM  ??

In the past 2 days I have seen 3 or 4 for-sale ads on this forum. They were all 2g's as far as I can remember. Try looking back the last few days on the main forum.

I have no problem buying a car from someone on these forums, but I dont know about the shipping since most members are away from where I live. Any one selling their car around nevada I would be willing to buy it.

if i was you i would just keep searching for an awd eclipse/talon. don't settle. i didn't even settle for a different type of car, just a lower model and i still wish i hadn't done that originally. but that all worked out in the end anyways cause i ended up with my rs, a gst, and a tsi awd!

 Build on hold until I get a good paying job, either in school or once I get out. At that time a full tear down and complete rebuild should be in order. The Purple People Eater will ride again... January 2011 can't come soon enough.

Yeah but I just read the stuff on Kevin's website and I have to say the car is awesome. It scares me that he took it to the track a lot of times and put different turbos on it trying to get good times but I see he knows that he is doing
I just dont know where he lives since in his profile his state and city didnt come up. Assuming he lives somewhere near New York shipping costs would be about $800. But the car looks good, I dont really care if it has dents and scratches. I rather know its realiable How can I contact KEVIN ?

If I remember correctly, Kevin lives in MA. I also think that he already sold his GSX.
Hang in there, it takes time. It took me almost 8 months to find what I wanted. The search just makes it sweeter when you do find exactly what you want

There are a lot of 6-bolt pre-swapped 2G GS-t's and GSX's for sale on ebay and DSMtuners. Get one of those if you can; many of them appear to be in the 4K-6K range, especially the 2Ga's. Or, you can pick up a pristine 1G with substanial mods for around 4-5K. OR, yet again, find a 1992 GSX Galant with a 4g63 in it. Those go for around 6K if they are in excellent condition, and I'm pretty sure they would have the 6-bolt judging from the year (a 4-dr GSX? yes please
 ).
